It's time for the giveaway!!!

It's my 50th blog post!!

I never thought I'd manage to keep this blog going when I signed up with blogspot - I don't have a great record at this kind of thing (I always gave up writing in diaries sometime in the middle of January). But I've reached my 1st milestone so I'm feeling pleased with myself, especially given all the ups and downs of the last year - bereavement & moving house included.

I'm very very pleased that this has coincided with the run up to Christmas because it gives me an excuse to create a package of seasonal goodies for the lucky winner. I love Christmas & making things to give & share at Christmas is very important to me (you can find lots of our ideas at our Christmas website - Christmas Matters). So whoever wins this giveaway will get a package full of Christmassy delights including handcrafted decorations and other goodies (& keep in mind I make excellent chocolate fudge & even more excellent sloe gin)!

So, please leave me a comment, telling me what you love about Christmas, to be in with a chance of winning an extra Christmas present this year! The draw will be made next Sunday on the 7 December. Good Luck!

sorry to hear that you have had a bad year.. but you have made it to 50 blog posts so should be proud of your achievement. Its difficult to keep on writing.. I'm terrible at journals and diaries.. and I foolishly signed up for NaBloPoMo which I admit I have...ahem..cheated and back posted several times.

I love the smell of christmas.. pine, cinnamon, vanilla, dinner roasting in the oven, hot coffee, and hot chocolate. mmmmm

Hopefylly Christmas will provide you with the happiness and contentment that has been missing from the rest of the year.

I love that feeling late Christmas afternoon when you can sit down with a cup of tea - the christmas tree sparkles - you can watch the children engrossed in their gifts and there's time to just reflect on how wonderful life can be. Simple pleasures.

Well done on reaching 50 posts! What do I love about Christmas??? Seeing the excitement on my son's face and the wonder when he notices Rudolph's bite from the carrot we left. It won't last much longer - he is 7 now.

what I love about Christmas? the remembering that the world is not all about ourselves, not all about now and here... the quietness on Christmas Eve and happiness on children faces when they are opening their presents... and the light of the Christmas tree... and the taste of Red Soup we eat on Christmas Eve... there is much more I like about this time...

Congratulations on your 50th post! I hope 2009 will be a great year for you and your family! A new year always brings new possibilities and excitement for what's to come.
As for Christmas, the thing I love the best is the excitement and wonder my daughter feels during the Christmas season. It's her favorite holiday! Her excitement is contagious! It's made me look at Christmas through new eyes and fall in love with Christmas again. I have a blast during the holiday season because she loves every little thing about Christmas, the lights, the decorations, the stories, the movies and of course giving and receiving gifts.

Congrats on 50 posts!

What I love about Christmas is the tradition of getting together with my family every year.

Of having a nap in the afternoon because it is just soooo hot! Christmas and muggy Brisbane summer days are inextricably linked in my mind...

50 posts is very good going!
I am just like you with keeping up with things like this. I started a diary in May this year and it lasted all of 3 weeks. I am terrible. But I think this crafty blog community is such a great one and full of lovely people. You can't help but get sucked in!

I absolutely love everything about christmas. Its my favourite time of year without a doubt. I love all the cheesy xmas songs, I love decorating the house, the food, being with family, the build up and excitement on xmas eve. Just everything. I love it all.
Really I could be one of those mad women who has their decorations up all year round and not bat an eyelid.

Well done on getting to your 50-post milestone!
The thing I love about Christmas time is that everything is just so sparkly - from Christmas lights to frost on the grass, the world just takes on a lovely twinkle.

Happy 50th Post!!!

Mmmm..........christmas...I love the smell of mince pies cooking in the oven, the creaking noise the snow makes when you step upon it, cheeky glass of Sherry, the dog getting way too excited over the sound of ripping wrapping paper, the house in darkness except the xmas tree lights lit up, the mad way in which some people decorate the outside of their houses, The local brass band playing carols in the village....

Well done on the posts - keep up the good work.

Christmas is extra special for us now as we have our beautiful daughter. She was many years coming so Christmas really is a special time for us as a family. She was too young last year, but this year will be great.

Hopefully you will also now enjoy a special time at Christmas.

Good luck with everything.

hi just found your site through the sassy apron swap site. My favourite thing about christmas is being with my family and just hanging out without anyone having to rush off anywhere.

So ThATS how you get more comments!! Ha! ;) This giveaway looks so fabulous, especially since I know first hand what an amazing home-spinner you are! Anyway, you don't have to enter me because it costs to much to mail to me... but I'll tell you what I love about Christmas. I love the decorations in my house that make my house look a bit more crowded and... cozy. I love to pair that cozy feeling with warm drinks and a fire. I love all of the parties and glam, and I love spending all of Christmas day in my jammies, which I don't actually get to do anymore... because of the parties. AND I love the newness of all of it to my son. Congrats on 50!

Hope Santa brings you peace and happiness.
The things I love about christmas are, (in no particular order as they say on the X Factor!) - putting up the Christmas tree & turning on the lights for the first time, watching my son open his presents, hubby's devine Xmas dinners and also the fact it's my birthday too on Xmas Eve (although that can be such a pain too!)

Merry Christmas !
